Reverse:
QVÆ DEVS CONIVNXIT NEMO SEPARET. Large shield, date above.
Struck on a slightly irregular flan with a few light marks otherwise very fine, toned and an extremely rare year. Excessively rare in this condition and superior to the Cattermole and Bole examples. This year was not encountered by Morrison for his initial article on the coinage of James I in the British Numismatic Journal and only known from an example being mentioned by Snelling.
