Ex Ewerby Hoard

The Ewerby Hoard was discovered in 2016 near Ewerby, Lincolnshire. It consisted of 1,200 coins dating from Henry VIII to Charles I, with a few Scottish issues. It has an estimated deposition date of before 1643. The hoard was recorded with the British Museum’s Portable Antiquities Scheme and declared Treasure; a selection was acquired by Lincoln Museum, with the remainder returned to the finder.
