Obverse:

[HEN]RICVS. Crowned bust, looking three quarters l, sceptre in right hand.

 

Reverse:

GILE[BE]RD ON [-E-]DM. Quadrilateral with curved sides, lis at each angle over cross fleury.

 

Flan slightly dished and weak on the legends otherwise fine, scarce and with full provenance and twice published. Eaglen dies Ff - (B1113, this coin).

Ex Pimprez Hoard 

The Pimprez hoard was discovered in the village of Picardy, Northern France in 2002. It consisted of 569 silver coins, 446 of which were pennies from the reigns of Henry I and Stephen. It was likely deposited around 1140.
