Ex Carlyon-Britton Collection, Sotheby's Auction, 20 Nov 1916 - Lot 1352 - "Fine and extremely rare, unpublished. Ex E.W. Rashleigh Collection, Sotheby, Wilkinson & Hodge Auction, 21 Jun 1909 - Lot 465 - "Fine, an extremely rare type. This coin establishes the mint for this moneyer"

Published in R.P. Mack "Sylloge of Coins of the British Isles 20 - R.P. Mack Collection" Oxford University Press (1973) Plate LII - No 1537 and page xiv

"Certain coins in the collection call for more comment than can be included in the text facing the plates.... 1537 - Henry I type 11 (BMC 10) Thetford mint.
