A few light marks, very fine, toned and very rare. With extensive and impressive provenance going back to the Sir John Evans (1823-1908) Collection. Naismith W9b (this coin), EMC 1020.0702 (this coin). The exact location of the West Saxon mint is still debated although Southampton or Winchester are currently regarded as the most plausible locations.
