Obverse:

CNVT RECX A. Crowned bust left with sceptre.

Reverse:

ÆLFPINE ON OCX. Voided short cross with pellet centre.

A single peck mark on each side, otherwise extremely fine. An extremely rare moneyer for this type at Oxford, with only one example recorded in the EMC/SCBI - struck from the same obverse die but paired with a double-name reverse die reading “Ælfwine Tosti” - SCBI 9, Ashmolean Museum, number 720. Only one legend spelling variation for this type is listed by Stainer - ÆL˙FPINE ON OCX - as on this coin (number 5).
