Obverse:

HENRICVS REX. Crowned facing bust with sceptre in right hand.

 

Reverse:

ABEL ON LVND. Voided short cross with quatrefoil in each angle.

 

Good fine or better, toned and very rare. Same die pair as the British Museum example (ex Eccles hoard) - Stewartby Plate 40 - number 16. Lord Stewartby noted just 15 known specimens of the group DR, which encompasses the all imitations of class 5a, b and c. This obverse die is also known to have been used with an Ilger reverse die (Plate 40 - number 18).
