Obverse:

Wreath, large eye formed from a corded V, cogwheels above and below.

Reverse:

Disjointed horse with triple tail wheel below.

About very fine, a few weak areas but overall well struck. Extremely rare.

The previous finds from this hoard, which are also ‘Cheriton Wheel’ type have been incorrectly recorded as Regini and Atrebates ‘Selsey Two-Faced’ type with “unusual pellet motifs on the obverse design”.
