[H]ENRI REX ANGL. Crowned bust facing, wearing armour with mantle and sceptre in right hand. 

 

Reverse:

[RIC]ARD ON CA[ - ]. Large cross potent with small cross potent in each angle.

 

Weak in part otherwise good fine and lightly toned. 

 

Ex Andover Hoard 

 

The Andover Hoard was discovered between Wednesday, 22 August 2018, and Tuesday, 28 August 2018. It was spread across an oval area measuring 10 to 15 feet, with a few stray coins found no more than 20 feet away. The hoard consisted of 105 silver pennies: 104 of Henry II 'Tealby' type and one of Henry I. The find was registered as Treasure case number 2018T600 and PAS HAMP-5275FE, and was returned to the finder after being disclaimed as Treasure.
