As noted by Sills, "around half of the known examples are from Britain and the majority of these are very worn. The sudden influx of coins into Britain parallels the large-scale export of class 3 staters to Kent and this combined with the commonly worn state of both denominations suggests that they arrived at around the same time, evidence that they were issued by the same authority."
