Reverse:

OSPOLD MO NOR. Long cross over quatrefoil with pellet apex. Extra pellet in one quarter.

Some soil deposits, about very fine and toned. A rarer moneyer for the type, with just five other examples listed on the EMC, with this being one of the finest, EMC 1015.3215 (this coin).

Ex Count Preben Bille-Brahe (Count of Brahesminde) Collection (Private Sale - 1922)

The L. E. Bruun Collection was one of the most important private numismatic collections ever assembled. Danish industrialist Lars Emil Bruun (1852–1923) spent decades acquiring the best examples from across Europe, including many British issues. In his will, Bruun ordered that the collection be preserved intact, for 100 years as a safeguard for Denmark's national coin collection in the event of war or catastrophe. Following the expiry of that century-long trust, the collection has begun to be dispersed, making the coins available to collectors for the first time in generations.
