Obverse:
HENRIC DI GRA REX ANGLIE Z FRANC. Frowning facing bust, no fleurs over crown, no mullet on breast.
Reverse:
POSVI DEVM ADIVTORE MEVM, CIVI TAS LON DON. Long cross pattée dividing the legend, with three pellets in each angle. Quatrefoil after POSVI, double saltire stop after DON and TAS.
A small scuff on the reverse otherwise very fine or better and toned. Very rare, unrepresented in the Buck collection and superior to the Hulett, Lessen, and Inder specimens. Struck from the same obverse die as Potter plate IX, no. 12, and from the same die pair as the current Spink/SovR plate coin and the single Brady example, lot 78.
