Obverse:

HENRIC 8 D G ANG FRA Z HIB REX. Bristol bust B.

Reverse:

CIVITAS BRISTOLIE. Quartered royal arms over long cross fourchée with lis in forks. TC initial mark.

Approaching very fine, good bust detail for issue, a little of centre rev. Overall a very pleasing example.

The Posthumous Bristol groats are a scarce issue on the whole. The majority have the WS initial mark for William Sharrington but as Laker notes, the coins struck under Thomas Chamberlain (TC) are much rarer.
